The Commander of the Somali Police Force, General Asad Osman Abdullahi, has appointed Colonel Yusuf Hundubay (Yuuda) as the Commander of the Darwish Police Unit of the Somali Police Force.

The Darwish Police Unit is a special division within the Somali Police Force, established in 1963 to focus on securing border areas and supporting special police operations.

Commander Yusuf, a highly experienced officer with extensive police expertise, has previously held various significant positions and played a vital role in the development and rebuilding of the Somali Police Force.

His past roles include Commander of the Somali Police Special Unit (Birmadka), Deputy Somali Police Traffic Division, the Commander of the Western Division Police, and District Commissioner.

Commander Yusuf Yuuda has served in the Somali Police Force for over last 30 years.
