Established in January 2005, the Directorate of Administration, Planning, and Finance is one of the core directorates under the Office of the Inspector General at the National Police Service Headquarters.

The Directorate plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of the Service’s administrative systems, financial resources, and strategic planning functions.It is responsible for overseeing budgeting, financial accountability, human resource management, infrastructure development, and long-term institutional planning.

By aligning operational needs with national policing goals, the Directorate supports the overall mission of maintaining law and order and strengthening internal security across the country.
