The Commander of the Somali Police Force, Brigadier General Asad Osman Abdullahi, has extended his heartfelt condolences on the passing of General Mohamed Yusuf Sheikh Omar (Maddaale), a veteran officer and one of the longstanding pillars of the Somali Police Force.

Asad Osman praised the late General’s decades of dedicated service, describing him as a symbol of discipline, integrity, and patriotism who played a vital role in building and strengthening Somalia’s law enforcement institutions.

“Innaa Lillaahi Wa Innaa Ilayhi Raajicuun. I send my sincere condolences to the family, colleagues in the Somali Police Force, and the entire Somali nation on the loss of General Maddaale,” said Brigadier General Asad. “He will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to national security and his contributions to the development of a professional and principled police force.”

He prayed for the Almighty to grant General Maddaale Jannatul Firdows and wished patience and strength for his family and the nation during this time of mourning.
