The Minister of Internal Security of the Federal Government of Somalia, General Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail (Fartaag), today inaugurated a conference in Mogadishu focused on advancing the second phase of the Joint Police Programme (JPP2).

The conference was also attended by the Deputy Commander of the Somali Police Force, Major General Abdalla Abdalla, discussions centered on the 2025 action plan and its budget, with detailed deliberations on the implementation and coordination of the program.

Finally, the conference approved the 2025 annual plan and its budget, marking a significant step in strengthening security and enhancing the capacity of the Somali Police Force to address the security needs of the community. The event was attended by ministers representing some of the country’s federal member states.
