The Police Commissioner of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Brigadier General Asad Osman received Fran O’Grady, Chief of Mission of the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) Somalia, at his office.

They discussed the prevention and reduction of the threat posed by explosive ordnance, including improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

UNMAS is a key partner of the Somali Police, providing practical advice and training for IED threat mitigation to the bomb disposal unit.
