Somali Police Force is in the last stages of preparations to mark the 81st anniversary since its establishment in 1943 the year it was officially established and recognized as the national police Force

The force is now busy practicing parade to mark the colorful ceremony set for Saturday 20th December.

Somali police band Hegan is also expected to entertain the guest with patriotic songs during the event.

Somali national police force and main civil law enforcement agency of Somalia was established upon in 1943, it served as one of the principal organs of the Somali Armed Forces.

After the start of the civil war in the early 1990s, the Somali Police Force essentially ceased to operate.
