The Police Commissioner of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Brigadier General Asad Osman received the Turkish Ambassador to Somalia, Mr. Alper Aktaş, at his office on Sunday.

They discussed further strengthening security and counterterrorism cooperation between the police and the embassy and responsible for the Turkish government supporting the police forces in the areas of training and experience.

The Commissioner thanked the Ambassador for Turkey’s unwavering support for the police. Turkey is a key partner of the Somali police by providing training and equipment for the special unit (Haramcad).
